The student should understand how robots can learn. Also the students should actively participate in projects in order to make any robot capable of learning. A robot is capable of learning, when it no longer needs to be classically programmed for a specific task, but can learn its behavior. The learning of the robot in this case also includes the generalization and thus goes far beyond the simple reproduction of stored trajectories (so-called Teach In or Teaching) of today's industrial robots.

In addition, the student must be able to understand the most important learning methods applied in robot learning, program them and implement on a robot. An important aim here is also, that the student is able to independently read and understand relevant publications.
