- to develop students’ general proficiency in English;
- to increase students' knowledge of reading and writing skills relevant for social work;
- to strengthen students' communications skills through discussions and debates;
- to increase students' knowledge and understanding of service users needs and rights when accessing community services;

- to improve students' use of English in academic, professional, and social settings.
